Named in honor of Carrie Melloh’s grandmother, Anna Ward, Anna’s Acres celebrates a woman whose life has been defined by hard work, resilience, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to family and community. For decades, Anna has been a respected member of the Kokomo community, touching countless lives through her kindness, strength, and willingness to help others.
The vision for Anna’s Acres was inspired by the desire to create a place where families can connect with nature, learn together, build lasting memories, and experience the simple joys of life. Todd and Carrie Melloh purchased the property with the goal of creating a welcoming destination that reflects the same values Anna has demonstrated throughout her life.
Today, Anna’s Acres serves as a place where horses are cared for, children learn through hands-on experiences, families gather, and community connections grow stronger. Every trail, pasture, event, and educational program is rooted in the spirit of togetherness and stewardship that Anna has exemplified for generations.

Todd and Carrie Melloh acquired Crown Haven in 2025 with a vision to create a welcoming space where families can connect with nature, learn, and build lasting memories. Their mission is to serve the community by providing meaningful outdoor experiences rooted in education, recreation, and togetherness.
Who is Grandma Anna?
Anna Ward is a lifelong Kokomo resident who spent more than 40 years working for General Motors and has provided housing to many local families throughout her life. She is the grandmother of Co-Founder Carrie Melloh and mother to three children: Christine, Paul, and Terry.
